Through the Vision Gallery, visual arts classes are provided to the public at no cost by professional artists in a variety of media. Workshops are designed to inspire a child’s creativity and show them how art can be applied in daily life. Participants in the program go home with a work of art they created and a better understanding of the creative process.
Curriculum is designed for youth ages 6 to 16 years old and explores art’s diverse perspectives and techniques with workshops on topics that include drawing, watercolor, batik, ceramics, collage, print-making, photography, and graffiti.
Workshops are on Saturdays at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m., lasting up to two hours in the Vision Gallery, located on the first floor of Chandler City Hall. Classes are offered in the fall and spring.
Funding for this program is provided by the Chandler Cultural Foundation, private donors, corporations, and grants.
