It is the mission of the Chandler Center for the Arts to connect communities and inspire people to engage with inclusive and enriching arts experiences.  Connecting Kids helps the Center achieve this mission by providing free and low cost arts engagement activities.

Research shows arts experiences have a tremendous impact on the developmental growth of young people. When exposed to the arts, youth are more successful in the classroom and have increased progression in life skills.

“Experiences with the arts are critical to youth development related to critical thinking, better synthesis of math and science, and innovative problem-solving,” says Michelle Mac Lennan, General Manager at the Chandler Center for the Arts. “Studies show that a student involved in the arts is four times more likely to be recognized for academic achievement.”

Chandler Center for the Arts provides a variety of program opportunities for youth to experience the magic of the arts.
