Free Performances
As part of our vision to be the leader of welcoming, relevant and equitable arts experiences, we bring free, accessible performances into our Chandler community.
In 2024, we became the first partner organization in the East Valley to bring Ballet Under the Stars to our city. In the same year, we partnered with The Concert Truck to bring classical music directly to residents of long-term care and independent living facilities. On select Sunday afternoons throughout the year, we open our doors in partnership with Chandler Symphony Orchestra to provide free orchestral performances to anyone who is interested.
Having access to the arts strengthens communities. Chandler Center for the Arts is proud to offer various opportunities to engage with visual and performing arts throughout the year at no cost to patrons. Free Summer Concert Series
Each summer, in partnership with Intel, Chandler Center for the Arts welcomes community members to enjoy musical performances on five select Fridays. Each Friday typically features a different style of music for patrons to try out. Previous performers include Traveler, The Sugar Thieves, Dorsten, among others. These concerts create the perfect opportunity to get out of the summer heat in July/August and come into a beautiful theatre to enjoy all that live music has to offer. Chandler Symphony Orchestra
Since its humble start in 1993 as the San Marcos Symphony, these dedicated, professionally trained musicians have provided the Greater Chandler community with the opportunity to hear great music at no charge. On select Sundays throughout the year, the Chandler Symphony Orchestra plays music from well-known composers and classical artists, with one ticketed event per year that pays homage to a more contemporary artist. Ballet Under the Stars
Presented in partnership with Ballet Arizona and City of Chandler, Ballet Under the Stars is a unique opportunity to watch trained ballerinas perform live on an outdoor stage. Taking place in the early fall, Ballet Under the Stars has performed in Fountain Hills, Peoria, and Glendale to name a few. For the very first time in 2024, Ballet Under the Stars came to Chandler. All events are completely free to enjoy and great for families.
The Concert Truck
The Concert Truck is a traveling music venue that strengthens communities by redefining the concert experience and making live music accessible to everyone. For the first time in 2024, Chandler Center for the Arts invited the Concert Truck to Arizona to perform these concerts at both public and private events. Public events included a City Hall pop-up concert and concerts at Chandler Farmer's Market and Downtown Chandler Art Walk. Private events included concerts at Dignity Health East Valley Rehab Hospital and The Park at Copper Creek.
Military Concert and VetTix
We feel profound gratitude for our active military and veterans for serving our country. We have previously partnered with The United States Army Field Band & Soldiers' Chorus to provide free President's Day performances and continue to partner with Vet Tix to provide free and low-cost tickets to performances for our country's military and veterans. These opportunities provide stress-reducing and family-bonding experiences for our service members and keep them connected to their local communities and American life.
