Field Trip FAQs

Theatre Kids programs are reserved for groups. Anyone attending must be part of a group with advance reservations. Designated contacts – if you have changes or additions to the original reservation, please email [email protected].

Yes, there is a minimum purchase of 10 seats per performance.

Groups are also welcome to eat lunch on the grounds of the Chandler Center for the Arts. Please email [email protected] to arrange ahead of time.

The Chandler Center for the Arts is located on the northwest corner at the intersection of Chandler Blvd and Arizona Ave in Downtown Chandler. Directions are available here.

Chandler Center for the Arts accepts checks, money orders, credit card payments or purchase orders.

  • Each field trip should be paid for in a single payment (unless the school or district requires that chaperones be paid for with a separate check).
  • Payments are not accepted in person.
  • All checks, money orders, or purchase orders need to be sent to: Chandler Center for the Arts Attn: Theatre Kids Payment 250 North Arizona Avenue Chandler, AZ 85225.
  • Credit card payments may be made by phone by calling at 480-782-2673.
  • All sales are final and there are no refunds or credits after payment has been made.

Payment or a purchase order is due two (2) weeks before the date of a field trip, unless other arrangements have been made with Chandler Center for the Arts.

Chandler Center for the Arts does accept purchase orders. A copy of the purchase order should be mailed or faxed to our office no later than two (2) weeks before the date of a field trip.

We request the contact person who made the reservation to contact us no later than two (2) weeks before to the date of your field trip if there are any changes in group size. After this date, groups are responsible for payment for all seats reserved. Please note, many Theatre Kids shows sell out and additional seats may not be available after the time of the initial booking

Once you have paid for a certain numbers of seats, those seats are reserved for your group and cannot be sold to anyone else.

We ask that groups arrive no later than 20 minutes prior to show time to allow for groups to have time exit buses and be seated in the theatre. We are unable to delay the start of the show for groups who arrive late. Please note that seating generally begins 20 to 30 minutes before show time.

After dropping off students, bus drivers will be given instructions about where to park for the duration of the performance. Vans and private vehicles will park in the Chandler Center for the Arts parking lot, in a designated area. Parking is free of charge. 

All groups will receive an email prior to show day with directions for bus drop off and vehicle parking. If you arrive by bus, your bus will be greeted by a staff member or volunteer from the theater. They will give instructions to the group as to where they should line up. Once your group has lined up an usher will take you to your seats. The ushers are volunteers who donate their time to make it possible for Chandler Center for the Arts to be available to school audiences. The ushers will instruct your group to fill in every seat in your designated area.

Seating for Theatre Kids performances are on a first come, first seated basis. The House Manager will take into account the group size, age of students and any special needs in the group on the day of the performance. Chandler Center for the Arts cannot tell a group where they'll be seated prior to arrival.

Please refer to the information on the Theatre Kids page to find age guidelines for upcoming performances. Children must be 3 years or older to attend. Parents who bring babies or toddlers will be asked to enjoy the show in our lobby.

Bottle water can be brought into the theatre. Food, gum and other beverages are not permitted. Please leave all consumables at school or on your bus, unless you have made prior arrangements with the Center beforehand. Each theatre also has a drinking fountain available for attendee use.

Photography or recording at a performance is available at the discretion of the performing artist.
