Vision Kids
Vision Kids classes are held at the Vision Gallery, the Chandler Center for the Arts' satellite space, located on the first floor of Chandler City Hall. Parents sign up children for classes on a quarterly basis.
The Vision Kids Program offers a series of children's art workshops offered year round. Each series provides a child the opportunity to work with a professional artist and create artworks that are representative of their own creativity. Our program curriculum is designed to promote diversity in arts application, featuring workshops in drawing, watercolor, batik, ceramics, and every medium imaginable.
Vision Kids Program
Through the Vision Gallery, visual arts classes are provided to the public at no cost by professional artists in a variety of media. Workshops are designed to inspire a child’s creativity and show them how art can be applied in daily life. Participants in the program go home with a work of art they created and a better understanding of the creative process.
Curriculum is designed for youth ages 6 to 16 years old, and explores art’s diverse perspectives and techniques with workshops on topics that include, drawing, watercolor, batik, ceramics, collage, print-making, photography and graffiti.
Workshops are on Saturdays at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m., lasting up to two hours. Classes are offered in the fall and spring with registration dates for each.
Funding for this program is provided by the Chandler Cultural Foundation, private donors, corporations and grants.
