A Swing Suite is a heartfelt tribute from two dancers to their mentor as they celebrate the rhythms that have shaped their artistry. The choreography links tap dance to music by combining a live musical performance with a vibrant tap routine.
Accompanying this piece is SOUNDspace, originally created to explore the rich acoustics of a New York City church. This performance highlights tap as both movement and music, immersing viewers in its rhythmic complexity and expressive power. Every sound, from the softest shuffle to the most powerful stomp, becomes part of a dynamic musical experience.
