Chandler Center for the Arts staff sent a Q & A to Cory Younts and Morgan Jahnig of Old Crow Medicine Show to find out more about who they are, what they are influenced by and how they define their music. A. CORY – Upbeat, fun, ruckus music that people can dance to
What projects are you excited for? What’s next?
MORGAN – We have a new record coming out in august and a live show vinyl release
You all have been playing together for 25 years, what have you learned about music, performing and being in a band, during that time? Is there anything you would change?
CORY & MORGAN – “We’re in the fun business” and if we are not having fun then we aren’t doing our job. We wouldn’t change a thing about the past 25 years, it has been a great ride
Who or what has been an influence in your music? Why?
CORY – Old time good stuff, musicians that play music
When someone comes to a performance, what do you want them to experience and leave with?
CORY – happiness
