Join JR McAlexander and Seth Reines on Aug 19 as they lead a workshop for the upcoming auditions for "Wizard of OZ"
In anticipation of the auditions, Showtune Production's Producer/Musical Director JR McAlexander and Artistic Director M. Seth Reines will host a free musical theatre audition workshop for actors 18 and older on August 19 at 6:00 pm at Chandler Center for the Arts. The workshop will offer audition tips to help attendees prepare for professional musical theatre auditions, from song selection to performance, preparation of resumes and headshots to audition etiquette and attire.
This March, Showtune Productions produced the sold-out show of Disney's "Beauty and the Beast" at Chandler Center for the Arts. Next March, Showtunes and the CCA will present an ethnically diverse, fully staged production of the "Wizard of OZ."
Workshop attendees who actively wish to participate should prepare 32 bars from a Broadway classic. Piano accompaniment will be provided. Come appropriately dressed for an audition; bring your headshot. No headshot? Chandler Center for the Arts will be providing a photographer to take free theatrical headshots.
Get tickets for the show! March 14 - 15.
