Chandler Center for the Arts is proud to present its CCA Anywhere Series, connecting people through engaging virtual performances that can be watched on your phone, tablet, laptop or TV...wherever you may be.
Nai-Ni Chen Dance Company presents its family-friendly production honoring the arrival of the Chinese Lunar New Year. With each year represented by one of the 12 animals of the zodiac and one of the five fundamental elements believed to make up the universe, this spectacular, vibrant, colorful three-day virtual event welcomes the Year of the Golden Ox and says goodbye to the Year of the Rat.
Join us for a one-hour program that features dance, acrobatics, music, and opera – all performed by Chinese American artists. The program is suitable for viewers, age six and older.
“Nai-Ni Chen's choreography, while artfully constructed, is not an abstract experiment in dance architecture; rather, Chen aims to entrance us - and we don't just mean modern dance converts. This is THE dance to which to take your non-dance friends, the one you've been trying to turn on to all the potential power and beauty of dance." - The Dance Insider
