With a dynamic blend of jazz, gospel, and R&B, Whalum delivers a powerful program featuring "Love Is the Answer", "Keep On Pushing", "Let It Be", and "What’s Goin’ On". Joined by special guests, he reflects on how these songs have resonated across generations, inspiring change and resilience. Timed just before Martin Luther King Jr. Day, this performance honors music’s enduring role in shaping history, fostering hope, and bringing people together.

Grammy-nominated vocalist Jazzmeia Horn brings her blend of swing, soul, and spiritual fire to Songs of Change. Renowned for her fearless improvisation, radiant tone, and magnetic presence, Horn embodies the essence of modern jazz, rooted in tradition yet boldly expressive.

Her album, Messages, channels her artistry into themes of love, freedom, and faith, with originals like “Sing Your Own Song” and “Mother’s Love” offering words of healing and empowerment. Horn’s performances are equal parts sermon and celebration, infused with her signature scatting, poetic storytelling, and deep connection to the music’s emotional core.

John Stoddart is a multi-talented vocalist, pianist, composer, and producer whose soulful artistry bridges gospel, jazz, and R&B with effortless grace. A longtime collaborator of Kirk Whalum, Stoddart’s expressive voice and inspired arrangements have shaped some of Whalum’s most acclaimed projects, including The Gospel According to Jazz series and It’s What I Do, which earned a Grammy Award in 2011.

Philadelphia-born and Alabama-based, Stoddart has also worked with an extraordinary roster of artists, including Celine Dion, Al Jarreau, Take 6, Michael McDonald, and Lalah Hathaway, bringing his signature warmth and sophistication to every performance.
