With a phenomenal career spanning five decades originally sparked by the blues, it is fitting that music icon Boz Scaggs comes to Chandler as part of his Out of the Blues Tour 2021. From immersing himself in the blues, R&B, and early rock ‘n’ roll as a teen to spending time abroad as a musician, Scaggs launched his solo career in 1968 after being a member of the Steve Miller Band with his seminal album Boz Scaggs. He then came into his own in the ‘70s with influential ballads and a personalized music mix of rock, blues and R&B influences that gave him commercial breakthroughs, Top 40 singles and a place on album charts for more than 100 weeks.
Best known for his “Lido Shuffle” and GRAMMY-winning “Lowdown,” Scaggs brings a superb band of veterans, his silky voice, stunning blues arrangements and jazz standards for a night of musical perfection.
"Music has been a constant companion and I'm feeling more free with it than ever," Scaggs comments. "I feel like I've found my voice through all these years, and I've gotten closer to where I want to be with my approach."
