Carpentry
The Main stage can seat 940, or with the addition of two turntables of divisible seating can accommodate up to 1,500.
Stage Dimensions:
Proscenium:
- Width: 60’-4”
- Height: 30’
- Depth: 38’ upstage of plaster line
- 18’-10” downstage of plaster line at center
Wing Space:
- Stage right: 25’ with overhead obstructions at 19’-6”
- Stage left: 25’ with overhead obstructions at 19’-6”
- Other floor level obstructions exist please contact technical staff if you are concerned about wing space.
Orchestra Pit:
- Width: 40’ Length: 22’
- Pit is 10’ + deep. There is no lift and the floor has two landings, 8” and 16” lower. At 4” below stage height there is a re-mesh safety net. Only the conductor’s section, 4’x 6’, is removable. A plywood and 2x4 framed cover is usually placed on the re-mesh safety net to extend the stage.
Stage Floor:
- 2x4 sleepers, 16’ o.c., covered with 5/8” plywood and decked with 1x4 T-G yellow pine topped with black stained 1/4” tempered masonite.
House Drapery:
- House curtain-Cherry Red-two panels 41’-6” x 32’ split traveler hand drawn from stage right. It is on a motorized lineset that flys at 5’/min.
Legs:
- Black velour flat, one pair at 20’W/30’H, one pair at 30’H x 15’W, one pair at 30’H x 11’W
Borders:
- Cherry red velour w/tied fullness, one at 114’ x 12’. Black velour flat, two at 10’ x 75’, one at 69’ x 12’, one at 10’ x 80’ and one at 10’ x 95’.
Full Blacks:
- Two black velour traveler curtains with 50% fullness, two panels 39’-6” x 30’ at mid stage and two panels 38’-6” x 30’ upstage.
Scrims:
- White sharkstooth 28’W x 55’H, one black scrim 28’H x 55’ W,
with a 36” border panel at top.
Cyclorama:
- White seamless leno filled scrim; 28’H x 60’W.
Projection Screen:
One 12’x12’ R.P. Fast-Fold.
- Height to the bottom of trusses is 61’, there is no grid.
- Working height of pipes. See Lineset Schedule.
- Total number of linesets 31. The number available for drapery and scenery, excluding orchestra shell, electrics, and house curtain, is 20 linesets.
- Capacity of electrics and available sets is 1200lbs. Point load is 150 lbs.
- Length of pipes varies, See Line Schedule.
- Diameter of pipes is 1 1/2” SCH40 pipe.
- Control panel is located on the stage right wall.
- Note: If your production is a heavy flying show, please contact the Production Coordinator in advance. The fixed speed of the electric motors Does Not allow anything resembling a quick scene change.
