Lily Tomlin, a Michigan native, is one of America’s foremost comediennes, with an extraordinarily broad entertainment career spanning television, movies, theater, animation and stand-up comedy. She became a national hit on the iconic “Rowan & Martin’s Laugh In” television show with her comedic portrayals of Ernestine, the condescending telephone operator and Edith Ann, the precocious six year old. That success led to many movie roles, including “Nashville,” “9 to 5” and last year, “Admission.”
She’s been on prime time television hits like “NCIS”, “Murphy Brown,” “;The West Wing,” “Will and Grace” and even “The Simpsons.” Tomlin has earned seven Emmys for various broadcast roles, a Grammy for one of her comedy albums, and a pair of Tony’s, one for best actress for her one-woman Broadway show, “The Search for Signs of Intelligent Life in the Universe.” Her humor and observations are penetrating, funny and endearing—and that’s the truth!

With live music, dance and song, Celtic Fire generates an electric atmosphere that sweeps audiences away to Ireland, its culture, its land, its pubs, its music and its heart. The music is traditional at its core, with all of Ireland’s national instruments, the fiddle driving frenetic reels, our great drum, the bodhran beating out the driving rhythms of the band, the plaintive uilleann pipes calling back to days of yore with beautiful and haunting slow airs. The dancers take the stage with brilliant flashes of speed, youth and exuberance. Their jigs and reels performed are a joy to watch. Many audiences want to get to join in… many actually do!
