Chandler Young Actors Group, Music Theatre Camp Summer 2010 is the place to be! You will receive professional coaching in all aspects of musical theatre - dancing, singing, acting. And we are so excited to welcome back our Camp Director Kristen Drathman along with Heather Langham, and the amazing team of trained professionals.

We will be offering TWO camps, there are limited spaces available so we do encourage early enrollment to guarantee participation. And yes, you can enroll your budding actor in both camps! All registrations will be processed on a first come, first serve basis. We will contact you within 7 days of receiving your application to confirm. A full camp information packet will be mailed to you a week before Camp begins.
- Camp will include a T-Shirt, pizza party and student/staff ratio of 8-to-1
- Recommended for ages 7 years and up

CAMP 1
- June 7th – June 25th, 2010
Weekdays, 9am – 3:30pm - $435 per camper if registered by May 24th (after this date $460)

- July 6th – July 16th, 2010
Weekdays, 9am – 3:30pm - $295 per camper if registered by June 21st (after this date, $320)

Professional coaching in all aspects of music theatre – dancing, singing, acting.
Kristen Drathman is a Phoenix based actor, singer, teacher and concert performer, and has sung in venues all over the world including the '92 Olympics in Barcelona, Spain and the Brooklyn Conservatory Summer Opera Festival. Kristen has been teaching voice and acting privately for 13 years, and has a studio of over 50 students ranging in age from 7-40. She has had many successful students move on to perform on American Idol National tours, and on Broadway. Kristen has taught Summer Musical Theatre camps for 10 years and has also performed with the educational theaters Childsplay, Greasepaint Youth theatre, Valley Youth Theater and her own Summer Music Camp through Chandler Young Actors Group at the Chandler Center for the Arts. Kristen holds a Bachelor of Music Degree in Musical Theatre from ASU where she graduated Cum Laude. She has a long track record of successfully getting her students prepared and ready to audition for admittance (and scholarships) to the most elite Colleges, Conservatories and Universities in the country.
Heather Langham is a Rockette at Radio City, performing in the Radio City Christmas Spectacular. She was born and raised in Arizona and received her bachelor’s degree in dance and theatre from Arizona State University, where she was Captain of the Sun Devil Dance Team. She began dancing at the age of 2 ½ at the family owned dance studio, Langham Dance Center and has continued to train with various teachers across the country including: Susan Quinn Williams, Phan Peterson, Bill Hotaling, and Thommie Walsh to name a few. Currently she trains at The Edge Performing Arts Center, Broadway Dance Center, and Steps on Broadway.
Heather has worked for the National Dance Alliance (NDA) since 1998 as a Head Dance Instructor, Choreographer, and Judicator at the College and High School Level. She was awarded the Top Head Instructor award for 2007.
Dance Team Choreography Credits include: University at Albany, University of Pittsburgh, Southern Methodist University, Sacred Heart University, University of South Carolina, and Arizona State University. She has also choreographed for various high schools across California and Arizona.
Musical Theatre and Film Credits include: Chicago, Swing – Latin Couple/Featured soloist, Cabaret, A Chorus Line – Kristine, and West Side Story - Velma. Film: 2081 www.FinallyEqual.com.

- DOES MY CHILD NEED PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE?
No! Just passion, enthusiasm and a desire to experience the world of music theatre. With our incredible student/staff ratio of 8-to-1, each camper will get personal coaching throughout the camp. - WHAT WILL MY CAMPER LEARN?
Chandler Young Actors Group will focus on all aspects of music theatre to give your camper a taste of the Broadway life. Instruction will be given in dance, singing and acting while learning and rehearsing for the live stage performance that will take place at the end of each camp for family and friends to enjoy. - WHERE WILL THE CAMP TAKE PLACE?
At the Chandler Center for the Arts. Located at 250 North Arizona Avenue, Chandler, AZ 85225. - WHAT SHOULD MY CAMPER WEAR?
Comfortable clothes that allow for movement and dance; Soft-soled, closed toe shoes are required at all times in camp. Although dance shoes are not necessary, they are preferred if your camper already owns a pair. In addition, we will provide an official Chandler Young Actors Group T-Shirt for your camper to wear in class. - DOES THE CAMP INCLUDE LUNCH?
No. Please provide a daily lunch, water and any snacks for your camper.
