The 2014-2015 season marks the 22nd anniversary of the Chandler Symphony Orchestra. Since its humble start in 1993 as the San Marcos Symphony, these dedicated, professionally trained musicians have provided the greater Chandler community with the opportunity to hear great music at no charge.

Every year, Conductor Jack Herriman and Associate Conductor Alex Zheng lead volunteer musicians from all around the Valley in a Pops concert and five Classical concerts, including a spring concert that showcases the winner of the annual Youth Competition. The three Chamber Music concerts have become popular as well, in the more intimate Hal Bogle Theatre. It isn't unusual for both halls in the Chandler Center to be filled for these concerts, demonstrating the benefit of free admission in making classical music accessible to everyone.
