Group Sales: If you are organizing a large group with accessible needs, please contact the Box Office to coordinate purchasing tickets and seating.
All theatres have wheelchair- and scooter-accessible locations where patrons can remain in their wheelchairs or transfer to theatre seats. Patrons who cannot or do not wish to transfer from their wheelchairs to a theatre seat should request wheelchair-accessible locations when ordering tickets. Bariatric chairs are available with advance notice. Wheelchair accessible seating may be purchased by phone, in person, and online. For personal assistance selecting accessible seats or for more information about accessibility for a person with a disability, please contact our Box Office at (480) 782-2680 Monday through Friday from 10am to 5pm or on Saturdays from Noon-5pm.
Main Stage: Wheelchair accessible seating is provided in Row A. Row B is available for patrons who have limited mobility or who have visual and/or hearing impairments. Additional wheelchair seating is available in Rows O, P and W.
Please Note: There are no elevators to the North and South balconies. There are 36 stairs to the balconies and if you have limited mobility, this would not be a good seating option.
Bogle Theatre: Wheelchair accessible seating is provided in Rows O, P and W.
Recital Hall: Wheelchair accessible seating is provided in Row V.
Courtesy wheelchairs are available by reservation. Patrons may reserve wheelchairs in advance by calling the House Manager at (480) 782-2685, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. A limited number of bariatric wheelchairs and wheelchairs with elevating leg-rests are available on a first-come, first-served basis. It is strongly recommended that patrons who do not normally use a wheelchair bring a friend or companion to assist them in maneuvering the wheelchair. Volunteers can make arrangements for patrons to borrow wheelchairs, but are unable to leave their posts to assist patrons in moving around the building.
Wheelchair, Walker Seating and Storage: Patrons wishing to remain in their wheelchair during the event will be accommodated when possible. Patrons wishing to transfer from a wheelchair to a seat can request to have their wheelchair stored during the performance at the base of the stage for most events. Patrons with walkers will be able to store their walkers at the base of the main stage for most events. Please alert the staff if you will need assistance during intermission. Upon completion of the event, the staff member will return your wheelchair to you at your seat.
North Door: The North door is accessible from the West parking lot around the North side of the CCA building on the sidewalk. If the North door is not open, there is a ramp up to the main entrance doors.
Main Entrance (East side): There is a ramp available from the North parking lot accessible spaces and a ramp from the South parking lot accessible spaces.
Main Stage Accessibility: Access to the main stage level is through the Green Room or West doors. There is a lift device available from the main theatre seating area to the stage level through the doors at the house left. Please check at the House Manager’s desk to arrange for the use of the lift device.
Two automatic door openers are located on the east exterior entrance of the Center and will lead you to the Foyer and/or Exhibition Hall Gallery. A third automatic door opener is located on the north exterior entrance of the Center. Please be aware that our staff is available to assist you whenever possible.
Wheelchair accessible restrooms are located at the North and South ends of the Foyer.
Accessible water fountains are available at the North and South ends of the Foyer.
Accessible Concession Stands
Upon request from visually impaired individuals, concession stand sales personnel will verbally provide price information. Sales personnel will be happy to retrieve merchandise for patrons who require assistance. An accessible concessions counter is located in the Foyer.
Service Animals/Guide Dogs
Service animals are welcome at the Chandler Center for the Arts. They will rest in the patron’s seating area during the performance.
Emergency Evacuation Procedures
Chandler Center for the Arts personnel have been thoroughly trained in emergency evacuation procedures to ensure the safe evacuation of all patrons, including those patrons with disabilities, in the case of an emergency.
Assistive Listening Devices
Infrared assistive listening systems are installed in the Main Theatre and the Bogle Theatre. Assistive Listening Devices are available for use in both theatres and headsets may be used at any seat. Induction neckloops are also available for patrons who use hearing aids and cochlear implants with a “T” switch. Assistive Listening Devices are available at the House Manager’s desk located in the Foyer. Headsets are distributed free-of-charge on a first-come, first-served basis. A driver’s license or credit card is required as collateral.
Please Note: A Sign Language Interpreter is available upon request 10 days prior to event.
A Sign Language Interpreter is available upon request with at least a 2 week notice prior to event and based on interpreter availability.
Audio Description is available upon request with at least a 2 week notice prior to event and based on describer availability.
Large print programs are available upon request 2 weeks prior to event for all CCA Presents programs.
