Additionally, we are delighted to inform you of some recent developments that will enhance your experience at the Center in the months and years to come. To begin with, as a jointly owned facility by the City of Chandler and Chandler Unified School District, Chandler voters approved a combined total of $6.7 million in bond funding within the last year in order to update our nearly 20 year-old facility. This funding will support replacement of our rigging systems, expansion of our exhibit hall and other facility related refurbishments. A special thanks goes to Chandler voters for stepping forward on behalf of the Chandler Center for the Arts.
Secondly, thanks to a $286,000 grant from The Virginia G. Piper Charitable Trust and a new contract with Ticketmaster, our ticketing technology has been upgraded to the extent that online per ticket fees are now a thing of the past. Your savings are one click away at www.chandlercenter.org. No more waiting in line or on hold to purchase your tickets at our box office. It will cost you exactly the same to buy tickets in person, over the phone or online. Additionally, a substantial portion of The Virginia G. Piper Charitable Trust grant will be used to inform arts consumers of affordable e-commerce solutions now available on our website.
