Showtune Productions is holding local non-Equity adult auditions for the casting of its 2024 production of Disney’s Beauty and the Beast: Live in Concert at Chandler Center for the Arts on Saturday, August 19, callbacks are Saturday, August 26.
The production will feature a live on-stage orchestra, costumes, choreography, and animated scenic projections.
Adult auditions will be held at Chandler Center for the Arts on Saturday, August 19, with callbacks on Saturday, August 26.
Cast members must be over 16 and available for rehearsal January 2-7 and March 11-21, 2024, with performances at Chandler Center for the Arts on Friday, March 22 and Saturday, March 23, 2024. The role of Chip will be cast at a later date. All roles will be paid.
Auditionees should prepare 32 bars of an up-tempo and 32 bars of a ballad, preferably from a Disney or similar musical. An accompanist will be provided. No background accompaniment tracks will be allowed. Please bring sheet music in your key and a non-returnable headshot and resume.

Pre-Audition Workshop
In anticipation of auditions, Showtune Production's Producer/Musical Director JR McAlexander and Artistic Director M. Seth Reines are hosting a free pre-audition workshop for actors 16 and older on Saturday, July 11 at 6:30 pm at Chandler Center for the Arts.
The workshop offers audition tips to help actors prepare for the August auditions. Those attending the workshop should prepare 32 bars of a song from Disney or Broadway, bringing music in their key and a headshot and résumé.

Showtunes Productions presents Disney’s Beauty and the Beast: Live in Concert is part of the 2023-2024 Season at Chandler Center for the Arts, taking the Steena Murray Mainstage for three performances Friday, March 22 through Saturday, March 23, 2024.
Leading this concert production is Music Director JR McAlexander, Artistic Director M. Seth Reines, PBS-TV Director and director of countless regional theatres, national tours and world premiere musicals, and Broadway and national tour veteran Choreography Director Dottie Lester-White.
